Jointly approved by relevant departments of the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and the National Development and Reform Commission in 1996, the International Infocenter for the New Silk Road (also called the New Eurasian Land Bridge) was established to promote transportation and economic development, push forward trade and economic cooperation and exchange of culture and science and technology, enhance the capacity building of the information technology among the cities and countries along the land bridge. There are six departments/office in total, namely, the international department, domestic department, communication department, comprehensive department, exchange department and administration office. Equipped with necessary technical facilities and a group of personnel skilled in information development, international trade and information technology, the Infocenter is capable of basic information development. The Infocenter also gets operation advice from relevant departments of the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology and National Development and Reform Commission. The Infocenter not only provides information for the local government and public, but also collects, processes and provides information in the areas of laws and regulations, urban construction, regional development, transportation, culture and tourism, investment, resources, environment protection, trade, economic cooperation and exchange of science and technology. The Infocenter has been providing consultation service for the countries and regions in the areas of regional trade and economic cooperation and exchange of culture and science along the New Silk Road.

I. Under the instruction the International Mechanism Office of the State for the New Silk Road, 《Database of New Silk Road》 is built jointly by the International Infocenter for the New Silk Road and Jiangsu Information Center. Consisted of as many as 800,000 characters, the Book,《Database of New Silk Road》records the detailed information of the economic development, creates blue prints for the regional development of the regions long the road. It is a comprehensive documentary for development achievement of the New Silk Road.
II. 《New Silk Road Year Book》is a comprehensive, systematic, accurate publication for current situation and progress of regional economic development along the New Silk Road. It can meet the demand of search or reference for government organizations, enterprises, universities, research institutes and personal. Supervised by the International Mechanism Office of the State for the New Silk Road, 《New Silk Road Year Book》is large and comprehensive tool/reference book edited by the International Infocenter for the New Silk Road and the 《Landbridge Horizon》 magazine company.
III. 《Report on Logistic Industry Development along the New Silkroad (2012)》t provides readers with detailed information about transportation development of the past 20 years along the New Silkroad. The Report made complete comparison studies on transportation quantity, mileage, cost both at home and abroad to those newly opened railway line such as Sichuan-Xinjiang-Europe line in 2011, Jiangsu-Manzhouli-Europe line and Wuhan-Xinjiang-Europe line in 2012. This Report is widely regarded as authorized information for logistic industry along the New Silkroad.
IV. The International Inforcenter for the New Silkroad and the Publishing House of《New Silkroad》jointly published “Database of Logistic Enterprises of the New Silkroad”. The introduction, business scope, advantageous lines and transportation channels of over 30 logistic enterprises have been collected in the database and will be updated continuously on the internet.
