In recent years, Xiongkui hosted over 30 national research projects, including: International Cooperation Project in Science and Technology, the National Key R&D Program, the National "863" High-tech Research Projects, the earmarked fund for China Agriculture Research System, the National Natural Science Fund project, etc. A number of his achievements have reached the domestic and international advanced level, and he has won 2 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards (both ranked first), 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes. As the host and the first completer, he has successfully developed more than 20 new products, and has obtained more than 30 national patent authorizations. He has published more than 150 academic research papers (103 included in SCI/EI) and 9 monographs.
