As a National Advanced Individual for Poverty Alleviation and a State Council Special Allowance Expert, Li Ye is on the list of the fourth batch of the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program. In addition to being selected as a sci-tech innovative and entrepreneurial talent in the Innovative Talent Promotion Plan, he has successively won the United Nations award in recognition of special contribution to south-south and triangular cooperation, the second prize of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, the second prize of Fujian Science and Technology Progress Award, the May 1st Labor Medal of Fujian Province, the Excellent Talent Award of Fuzhou City, Nanping City Sci-Tech Major Contribution Award and other honors. In recent years, he has undertaken 16 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including the key special project of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine under the national key research and development plan, the special project for international scientific and technological cooperation, the national spark plan project and the construction project of the traditional Chinese medicinal materials production base of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As the first author to complete the formulation of 5 standards including the national standard titled "Standards on Harvesting and Processing Techniques of Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder" and international business standards, he has obtained 26 authorized invention patents and 2 new plant species certifications. He has also published more than 30 academic papers in domestic and foreign journals such as Oncotarget, Oncol Lett and China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica.
