Recently, Zulfikar Mustapha, Minister of Agriculture of Guyana, sent an appreciation letter to DG Xu Pao of FFRC for the good organization of the “Training Course on Aquaculture Technology (Cage Culture) for Guyana”.
In his letter, Minister Zulfikar Mustapha, on behalf of the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Agriculture of Guyana, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chinese government for its fisheries assistance to Guyana, which has brought new breakthroughs in the development of Guyana’s fishery industry. He would also like to express his gratitude to FFRC for the learning opportunities and selfless help provided to Guyanese participants during their time in China. He also said that international (training) cooperation will help the two sides to jointly address the challenges and opportunities in aquaculture and fisheries, and looked forward to further strengthening cooperation in the future to jointly build a closer China-Guyanese fishery and aquaculture link.
The “Training Course on Aquaculture Technology (Cage Culture) for Guyana” is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by FFRC. During the 21 days, the Department of International Cooperation of MARA and the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences gave strong support and specific guidance to the training for the 24 participants from the Ministry of Agriculture of Guyana.
